S Scale Residential House Kit

Description

One S-Scale New England Style Residential House kit.  This house has had several additions over the years.  It is very realistic and has a fairly complex roof line.  Referred to as the Donahue House after the family that lives there.  Real-world footprint is roughly 7 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches.
THIS IS A KIT – what you actually get is shown in the last picture
(along with the instructions and assembly pictures).  The pictures of the building illustrate what it looks like after assembly.
The kit pieces are not painted.  The instructions tell you when the best time is to paint all of the parts as they are being assembled.  The instructions also contain photos of each step along the way.
Most of the main building parts are made from 1/16″ plywood, and the rest is made from 1/32″ aircraft-grade  plywood.  Instructions are included.  This is the most complex building to assemble I’ve designed thus far!
Once again, this is a KIT made from aircraft quality plywood and it is not painted.  It will take you some time to put it together depending on your skill level – anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days.  You need to be patient as you wait for glue and paint to dry before continuing.
Some people are happy with a kit
that simply snaps together quickly
.  Although not hard to assemble, this is not that type of kit.  It took me several hours to assemble the one pictured (much of that is waiting for glue to dry) and you should know that these kits take a little time and care to assemble.  If you are striving for a more realistic appearance than offered by the snap-together kits and precast plastic buildings, this is for you.
